Did you attend art school?

Absolutely! I earned a visual arts degree from Seattle Pacific University. My journey in art also includes numerous workshops, seminars, classes, and programs. While I've had the opportunity to exhibit my work in shows on a few occasions, much of my connection with art enthusiasts has been through direct sales. With a passion for art that has spanned over three decades, I've explored and worked with various artistic mediums.

Which mediums do you work with?

While I explore a diverse range of mediums, acrylic on canvas, canvas board, or paper remains my most favored and popular choice. Additionally, I also offer pieces in mixed media and watercolor.

Do you offer original paintings for sale?

Yes, I primarily offer original paintings. On occasion, I might release prints of select pieces. To stay informed about print releases and other updates, I recommend joining my email list. My original artworks can be found on materials such as canvas, canvas board, paper, or wood.

What differentiates an 'Original Painting' from a 'Giclée Fine Art Print'?

An 'Original Painting' is a unique, hand-painted artwork crafted solely by me, making it truly one-of-a-kind. On the other hand, 'Giclée Fine Art Prints' are high-quality reproductions of these original pieces, printed onto canvas material. While my primary focus is on offering original paintings, I occasionally release prints of select works. To stay informed about print availability, I recommend subscribing to my newsletter.

What does "hand embellished" art entail?

"Hand embellished" refers to the unique process where I personally add layers of texture, color, brush strokes, and marks to certain prints, enhancing their depth and making them resonate closely with original paintings. Some of these prints may even feature embroidery, adding a distinctive touch to the piece.

Each of these hand embellished prints is one-of-a-kind and part of a limited edition, signed personally by me. Should you opt for a hand embellished print, please anticipate an additional production time of 14 to 21 business days

Will 'Sold' paintings be restocked?

Regrettably, once a painting is sold, it cannot be restocked as each piece is a one-of-a-kind original. However, while no two paintings can ever be identical, I sometimes craft artworks with similar vibes. If you're keen on such a piece, considering a commission might be ideal.

At the moment, I'm not taking commissions, but whenever slots become available, my email subscribers will be the first to know. Do sign up for my newsletter to stay updated. And while originals are unique, I occasionally release prints inspired by them. For more on this, please refer to the section on giclée prints.

When will new art pieces be available for purchase?

To stay in the loop about new art releases and more, subscribe to my newsletter. I make it a point to keep my subscribers informed about fresh releases, special pricing, local events, and other exciting art updates. Also, for the latest visuals and updates, be sure to follow me on Instagram!

How can I purchase an original artwork?

I frequently craft and release new art pieces as part of distinct collections. These are primarily showcased on my social media platforms, website/blog, and most importantly, through my newsletter. To stay ahead and be notified of upcoming collections, I recommend subscribing to my newsletter. Original artworks are available on a first-come-first-serve basis, and they often sell out swiftly. Subscribing to the newsletter ensures you get priority information and a better chance to acquire your desired piece.

Can I commission a painting?

Certainly! While I release various collections during the year, there's a chance a desired piece may be sold before you can acquire it. In such cases, I occasionally offer commission opportunities. If you're interested, please reach out to me directly. I also strongly suggest subscribing to my newsletter to stay informed about announcements related to commission openings and other updates.

What Forms of Payment Do You Accept?

I use Shopify as the payment gateway for my shop. All available payment methods are displayed at the bottom of my site as well as during the checkout process. Shopify employs PCI Level 1 encryption protocols, two-factor authentication, and lightning-fast servers, ensuring that your transactions are secure and protected against potential fraud.

Do you offer promotional or discount codes?

I deeply value the craftsmanship and effort put into each piece of work. Therefore, I've chosen not to offer discounts on my creations. This ensures that every customer receives the best price without feeling they might be missing out on a better deal.

However, I genuinely appreciate my dedicated collectors and subscribers. By joining my newsletter, you'll gain access to exclusive member-only offers and updates, along with special perks that aren't available to the general public.

Do You Offer Installment Plans?

Absolutely! However, please be aware that your painting will only be shipped once it's paid for in full. To set up an installment plan, feel free to contact me. It's important to note that all payments made towards the purchase of an original artwork are non-refundable.

Do You Offer Gift Cards?

Certainly! Gift cards make for a thoughtful gift. Simply navigate to the shop page, or click here, select the desired amount, and add it to your cart.

Print quality, options and details:

Giclée Prints:
Occasionally, I offer museum-quality giclée prints, renowned for their precision and vibrancy.

  • Mediums: While the primary medium is canvas, I occasionally provide options for paper, bamboo, metal, and acrylic prints.
  • Limited Editions: Some prints may be limited editions, which means only a specific number of those prints will be available. Details can be found on the respective information page.
  • Hand Embellishments: For a truly unique touch, I offer hand-embellished prints. Each piece is different, with added color, movement, and marks to enrich the viewing experience.

Technology:
All giclée reproductions are crafted using a state-of-the-art Epson large format printer, known for its wide ink spectrum, ensuring beautiful and lifelike reproductions.

Canvas Prints:
These are not just any prints. Made of sturdy material mirroring the canvas I paint on, these prints are resilient to tearing. Many often confuse them with the originals! Additionally, they come as handcrafted gallery wraps, mounted on 1.25" wooden stretcher bars, ready to adorn your walls.

Paper Prints:
Printed on premium Hahnemuhle Fine Art Papers, these prints boast high resolution and captivating color details. They're shipped flat, allowing you to frame them as you see fit.

The ink I use for giclee prints:

  • UltraChrome HD ink
  • Archival
  • Color expected to last over 200 years
  • Black and white expected to last over 400 years
  • Moisture resistant (does well even in humidity)

Framing:

Do the paintings come framed?
Most of my paintings are sold unframed, unless otherwise specified. If a frame is included, it's typically a floater frame.

Should I frame the paintings on canvas board?
Yes, artworks on canvas board are generally best when framed to enhance their look and protection.

What about stretched canvas?
Original paintings and giclée canvas prints on stretched canvas are READY TO HANG. They're pre-stretched over bars, allowing you to hang them straight out of the box. The painted sides offer a finished look, so additional framing is optional.

How do un-stretched canvas artworks arrive?
These come rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube. You can then have the canvas stretched by a professional framer. The painted sides mean you don't need an outer frame, but framing can still enhance its presentation.

What about artworks on paper?
I recommend framing all artworks on paper. You can use a store-bought frame or consult a professional framer.

Do you offer framing recommendations?
While I don't provide custom framing, I'm happy to share framing insights and suggestions. Check out my blog post "Frames for your Artwork" for ideas.

What is a Floater Frame?

A floater frame is a unique framing style where the artwork appears to 'float' within the frame. It achieves this by leaving a small gap between the canvas and the frame, allowing the entire edge of the canvas to be visible. This ensures that no part of the artwork is hidden, showcasing it in its full glory.

If an artwork is specified to come with a floater frame, it will be delivered to you with the canvas set within this frame, ready to hang. Its modern design effortlessly complements both traditional and contemporary decors, adding an elegant touch to any space.

What are the Benefits of the Floater Frame?

  • Enhanced Presentation: The signature "floating" effect of this frame draws attention, making the artwork a standout centerpiece in any setting.
  • Versatility: Its design complements both classic and modern interiors, providing versatility in art display choices.
  • Protective Edge: Beyond its aesthetic value, the frame offers a protective barrier, safeguarding the canvas edges from potential wear and damage.
  • Modern Glam: With its crisp white finish, the frame infuses a touch of contemporary elegance, amplifying the allure of your artwork.

How to Care for My Print:

To ensure the longevity and quality of your print, it's recommended to frame it promptly. This helps protect against potential damage. If you have a stretched canvas print, make sure to keep it away from direct exposure to water and sunlight.

Do you offer shipping within the United States and Internationally?

Yes, I readily ship within the United States. While I typically don't ship internationally, if you're based outside the U.S. and have your eye on a specific piece, please don't hesitate to contact me. The cost will be determined by the size of the artwork and the destination, so I can provide a personalized quote upon request.

How soon can I expect my order to ship?

Thank you for choosing my artwork. Every piece, whether a painting or print, undergoes a meticulous process of drying, varnishing, and sometimes framing to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition. I invest a lot of care and attention in this process.

Standard Turnaround Time:

  • Domestic Orders: Please allow up to 2-3 weeks. It's worth noting that many orders often arrive sooner.
  • International Orders: Kindly give it 3-4 weeks.
  • Please note: I do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays, or nationally observed US holidays. If there is an unexpected delay, I will reach out via email.

Important Delivery Update:
Due to ongoing global challenges, including the impacts of COVID-19 on the supply chain and shipping, there may be additional transit delays.

Rest assured, once your order is on its way, you'll receive a tracking number and detailed shipping information.

How long will it take for me to receive my artwork?

Thank you for your interest in my pieces. Here's a breakdown of the expected timeline:

  • Preparation Time: Most items are prepared and ready for shipment within 2-3 weeks. Please note that Giclée prints are made to order, which can influence this timeline.
  • Domestic Delivery: Once shipped, your artwork should arrive within 5-7 business days, depending on the carrier, which may be USPS, UPS, or FedEx.
  • International Orders: Please account for at least 3-4 weeks for your artwork to reach you.

Always refer to the shipping company's estimated delivery time provided along with your tracking number for the most accurate delivery date.

How will my art be shipped?

Ensuring your artwork arrives in pristine condition is our utmost priority. Here's how we prepare and package your pieces:

  • General Packaging: All artwork is carefully wrapped in paper, then padded thoroughly to ensure protection during transit. It's then housed in a robust, well-fitted cardboard box tailored to its dimensions.
  • Small Paper Prints: These are dispatched in sturdy, flat mailers to retain their shape.
  • Large Paper Prints: To prevent any damage, these are sent in durable, thick tubes.
  • Big Canvas Pieces: Typically, larger canvas artworks are dispatched as rolled canvases.

Shipping Services: Depending on the artwork and location, we'll use USPS 1st Class Mail, Priority Mail, UPS, or FedEx. Please note: the shipping costs reflect what we are charged by our shipping providers; we don't add any additional fees.

How much does shipping cost?

The cost of shipping is determined by several factors:

  • Artwork Details: The price, dimensions, and weight of the artwork you purchase all influence the shipping cost.
  • Destination: Where the artwork is being shipped to also affects the cost.
  • Packaging and Handling: The shipping cost incorporates both the packaging of your artwork and handling fees to ensure it reaches you safely.

International Shipping:
While I typically do not offer international shipping, don't hesitate to get in touch if a particular piece captures your heart. International shipping costs can vary significantly based on the destination and the artwork's size.

  • Duties, Taxes, and Fees: Please be aware that your artwork might be subject to additional charges like duties, taxes, or other fees, depending on your country's regulations. These costs are the buyer's responsibility. For specifics about potential extra charges, it's advisable to consult with your local customs office.
  • Tracking: In my experience, while I've successfully shipped many international packages, tracking for such shipments can sometimes be inconsistent.

If you're interested in an estimate for international shipping, please don't hesitate to reach out to me for more details.

Can I pick up my artwork from your studio?

Absolutely! For local residents, I offer the option to pick up your original artwork directly from my studio. If you wish to avail this service, please use the code SEATTLE during checkout. Afterwards, reach out to me, and we'll arrange a convenient time for you to collect your purchase.

Where are you located and can I view your artwork in person?

I'm situated in the Seattle area (USA). You're welcome to view my work in person, but please note that studio visits are strictly by appointment. To schedule a time or to get more details, please contact me.

What materials do you use and how how are your paintings finished?

My primary medium is acrylic, complemented by water-based media. On occasion, I incorporate mixed media elements, such as embroidery, pastels, and oil paints. Most of my canvas originals and certain paper works are sealed with a protective liquid varnish to shield them from dust and light. For art pieces on paper, I recommend framing them behind glass for optimal protection and preservation.

Do You Collaborate with Interior Designers, Stockists, and Galleries?

Thank you for considering my artwork! I'm always delighted to see my pieces showcased in exquisitely designed spaces, prestigious galleries, and select shops. While I do not provide discounts on original artworks or permit markups without explicit written consent, I do extend special pricing on giclée prints for designers. For representation, licensing, wholesale opportunities, or to discuss your specific requirements, please reach out to me.

Can I Feature Your Artwork on My Online Gallery, Publication, or Blog?

I'm truly flattered by your interest in showcasing my work! Please reach out to me to discuss the specifics and your vision. I'd be more than happy to provide you with professional-quality photos for your feature. Let's connect soon!

Who Retains Ownership Rights of the Painting?

While you may own the physical piece of artwork once purchased, I, as the artist, retain all copyrights and reproduction rights to every piece I create. This applies to both artworks that have been sold and those commissioned specifically for you. If you're interested in obtaining full or partial rights to your piece to ensure it will not be replicated as a print, please reach out, and we can discuss it further.

It's essential to note that without my explicit written permission, the artwork cannot be reproduced in any manner. If you wish to feature it in a publication or other media, please obtain permission and credit me as the artist. While you have the right to display the artwork, it cannot be re-sold or reproduced without prior agreement.

Do You Offer Classes or Workshops?

While I have previously offered individual coaching, group classes, and creative retreats as a creativity coach, I'm currently pausing these offerings to concentrate on my personal artistic endeavors. Some of my notable programs included 'Your Soul Creativity' and 'The Restore Experience'. However, I'm in the process of merging the insights from both these programs into an updated e-book, which I anticipate releasing later this year.

Additionally, I'm considering launching an abstract painting course at some point in the next year or so. Though my priority is wellbeing, my family, as well as creating art before launching any new endeavors.

If these opportunities resonate with you, please reach out to express your interest. To stay updated with my latest ventures and offerings, I encourage you to subscribe to my newsletter.

Can You Tell Me More About Your Creativity Coaching?

Absolutely! I've been a Certified Creatively Fit Coach since 2014. My college days were sprinkled with art therapy classes, which gave me a unique perspective on merging art with healing and personal growth. Over the years, I've had the privilege to work with numerous clients on an individual basis and have also hosted enriching retreats.

Creativity coaching is a beautiful way to combine self care and art. It's a heartfelt process that gives individuals tools to reconnect with their passions and work through life's twists and turns. Think of it as a deep-dive into oneself, with art as the guiding light.

Currently, even though creativity coaching holds a special place in my heart, I'm not accepting private clients or organizing retreats so that I can focus on my personal artistic endeavors.
